To bring it back, use the DX ticker button in the top bar.
They'll be signed out everywhere and get a temporary password, which you give them (in person, by phone or message). When they sign in with it they must choose a new password.

Imported QSOs aren't sent to QRZ automatically. To upload older QSOs, use Settings → Logbooks → Manage.

Downloads the whole server in one file: every logbook, all accounts and settings, and the key that protects saved QRZ and LoTW passwords. Keep it on your PC, a USB stick or an external drive, away from the server. The file is encrypted with the passphrase you choose here. Without the passphrase it can't be opened, so write it down somewhere safe.
Copy the file to the server and run sudo shacklog restore FILE.backup on a VPS, or .venv/bin/python scripts/restore_backup.py FILE.backup on the Pi with ShackLog stopped. It asks for the passphrase. Add --check to test a backup without restoring it.
sudo shacklog restore FILE.backup
.venv/bin/python scripts/restore_backup.py FILE.backup
--check
For just the contacts of one logbook in a format any logging program reads, use Save ADIF above the log.
If someone forgets their password, press Reset password. You get a one-time temporary password to give them; they must choose a new password when they sign in with it. It stops working after 24 hours. Tick also reset two-factor if they've lost the phone with their authenticator app.
Choose a new password. You signed in with a temporary password from the admin. Type it as the current password, then pick your own (10 or more characters).
Two-factor sign-in is required on this server. Set it up below with an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, 1Password…). You'll then be asked for a code from the app each time you sign in on a new device. Sign out
Changing your password signs out all your other devices.

Scan this QR code, or enter the key by hand:

Every browser or device that is signed in to your account.
When it's on, typing a call fills in details from QRZ.com. Your password is stored encrypted.
To upload QSOs to the QRZ Logbook, go to Settings → Logbooks → Manage. Upload is set per logbook, because a QRZ logbook API key belongs to one station callsign.
A small tray app for the shack PC. It reads your radio through Hamlib (rigctld) or OmniRig, so turning the dial updates the frequency and mode in every ShackLog window you have open. It only makes outgoing connections, so you don't need port forwarding.
Each CAT client signs in with its own device token. Removing a device here disconnects it straight away.
Copy this token into ShackLog CAT → Settings now. It won't be shown again.
Server address for the CAT client:
By default the clock uses this device's own time. Turn on NTP to correct it against a time server. That's useful on phones and PCs whose clocks drift, and for FT8. ShackLog's server queries the NTP server, and each device corrects itself against the server every 10 minutes.
For example pool.ntp.org, uk.pool.ntp.org, time.cloudflare.com, or a server on your own network.
ShackLog connects to one cluster and shows its spots under DX spots above the log. Each spot is marked against the logbook you're viewing: NEW DXCC, NEW BAND, or worked.
This callsign is only used to receive spots for everyone. When someone sends a spot, it goes out under their own callsign, which they enter in the Spot box.
Clusters ask for a callsign when you connect. The Reverse Beacon Network sends automatic CW/RTTY or FT8 skimmer spots, which can be very busy.
Find it on QRZ.com under My Logbook → Settings. It must be the key for this logbook's station callsign.
ShackLog signs QSOs with your LoTW callsign certificate, as TQSL does, and uploads them. In TQSL, use Callsign Certificate → Save Callsign Certificate File to get the .p12 file. The certificate and its password are stored encrypted.

These must match your Station Location in TQSL. LoTW uses them for awards such as WAS and grid-based ones.
The username and password are only used to download confirmations. Leave blank if you don't want them.
